Green Mountain Paydirt
This is a great intermediate bag! The material is collected from one of my favorite prospecting spots and it’s loaded with ultra coarse magnetite and beautiful natural snowball garnets that have exfoliated from the host metamorphic rock. Mostly composed of beautiful schists, quartz, garnet sands and very coarse magnetite, this is fun stuff to pan. This area also contains a lot of quartz stringers that are clearly visible at the surface and even produce some occasional small specimen gold. The material will be on the cleaner side as it was processed from fast moving clear water in the beautiful state of Vermont. It is highly recommended to go through your tailings more than once to ensure you recover the added gold. This is 100% unsearched and the possibility of naturally occurring gold is likely. I have added 1 gram of gold to this material and panning it out will definitely take some time if you decide not to remove the heavy magnetite first. The gold will be mostly 12-50 mesh. If you do not recover at least a 1 gram of gold, keep panning. Whether or not you recover all the gold is based on your panning ability.
