Herkimer Diamonds and Gold Paydirt
This bag is made for picking and panning fun! I recommend first pouring the contents into a pan and trying to find the 9-10 Grade A Herkimer Diamonds, then take the remainder of the material and pan out the added placer gold. The base dirt in this bag is from the Swift River in Maine and is a mixture of black and garnet sands along with lots of shimmery schist mica. The bag contains roughly 5 ounces of material and naturally occurring gold is likely as this was prospected from a gold bearing creek. The Herkimer Diamonds range from 3-6mm.

This a fun paydirt bag. The Herkimer Diamonds are crystal clear and Collector/jewelry grade. I've ordered a total of 3 of the 1 gram bags and the two I've panned so far are consistent.... >1 gram with a couple of pickers and the rest 10 mesh and less. Easy to pan with little magnetics and sludge. Easier to pick out the Herkimers while dry and pan the rest at least twice. Jan always adds friendly thank you notes on the bags.
